The Department of Urdu aims at transforming the post-graduate and research students into a good human beings with an inquisitive and argumentative bent of mind through literary, theoretical and linguistic teaching.
To develop the mastery in Urdu language and literature with an aim to transform the students with modern employability and serving to the society skills.
To prepare scholars to undertake different professional assignments and develop the value based and ethical leadership in linguistic profession.
To undertake research in literature and evolve new knowledge and develop linguistic application in varied fields of profession.
To provide the creative skills in language and literature to strengthen the rich heritage of Urdu as a language of passion and diverse needs.
