After the formation of Telangana State in June, 2014, the Department of History, Osmania University, has introduced History and Culture of Telangana from pre-historic times to till the formation of Telangana State with an objective of providing an overall idea about the History of the Telangana Region to the general public and to the students of History. As per the instructions of University Grants Commission, Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) Semester System was introduced by Osmania University at Undergraduate and Post-Graduate level. Accordingly the B.A. (History) CBCS Syllabus was reorganized and approved by the University from the Academic Year. The Department of History, Osmania University, has also Revised M.A. (History) Regular Syllabus and introduced CBCS including Inter Disciplinary from Academic Year.
